THE 73RD ANNUAL S.F.A. REUNION AUGUST 2001
The 73rd Annual Reunion of the Shapleigh Family Association was held August 12, 2001 at the Lions Hall in Kittery, Maine. The one-day event began with a continental breakfast and several hours of greeting, discussion and socializing. This was followed by the business meeting and election of officers for the 2001/2002 year. The meeting was presided over by our new President Lloyd Pierce Shapleigh, Jr., of Stevensville, Michigan and Moody Beach, Maine, an 11th-generation descendant of Alexander Shapleigh, the Immigrant. After a picnic-style buffet lunch provided by the Association, the members and guests took a short trip to the Kittery Naval Museum. |
